ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Dr. Clodoveo Nacorda or Louie, as he is more popularly called family and friends, earned his Bachelor in Economics degree from the University of San Thomas. He took up post graduate studies in Urban and Regional Planning at the University of the Philippines in Diliman, Quezon City, and obtained his doctorate in Public Administration from the Cebu Normal University. He also earned a diploma, the Postgraduate Studies in Cebuano Heritage and Culture, form the University if San Carlos.Just like his subject for this book, he has been fascinated with santos since his boyhood days and started collecting them and other antiquites as soon as he started working and earning. When requested by church authorities, he shares some of his santos for public veneration. He has worked with various Philippine commercial corporations engaged in shipping, food and beverage, and gaming during the past 45 years. Now semi-retired, he enjoys doing research in heritage, whether religious or secular in nature, and contributes heritage articles to Cebu Daily News. Handumanan is his first published book. A second one Bantayan: Passion, Devotion, Tradition, also by USC Press (USC Publishing House) , was set to be launched in March 2016.
