ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Clodoveo Narcoda or Loiue as he is more popularly called by family and friends, earned his Bachelor in Economics degree studies in Urban and Regional Planning at the University of the Philippines in Diliman, Quezon City, and obtained his doctorate in Public Administrative form the Cebu Normal University. He also earned a diploma, the Postgraduate Studies in Cebuano Heritage and Culture, from the University of San Carlos.Just like his subject for this book, he has been fascinated with santos since his boyhood and started collecting them and other antiquities as soon as he started working and earning. To him, religious images are, primarily, extensions of an individual's spirituality and as such, he treats all religious items in his collection as sacred and ensures their safe storage and proper maintenance. When requested by church authorities, he shares some of his santos for public veneration.He has worked with various Philippines commercial corporations engaged in shipping, food, beverage, and gaming during the past 45 years. Now semi-retired, he enjoys doing research on heritage, whether religious or secular in nature, and contributed heritage articles to Cebu Daily News. Dr. Nacorda is also the author of Handuman: The Rosita Rodriguez-Arcenas Collection of Visayan Santos. also published by USC Press (now known as USC Publishing House).
